About the interactive map
Twelve live satellite products as map tiles, rendered on demand from the Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFFs the ingest maintains — GeoColor at native 1 km (0.5 km GeoColor) over CONUS, the 2 km full disks everywhere else. The time axis reads the same stamped per-scan COG store the frame builders use: every scan of the last four hours is addressable, every stamped tile is immutable, and the loop is tiles — it follows wherever you pan and zoom, at whatever sharpness you're at.
This is Forecast Eagle's reading of an interactive viewer applied to imagery the way Forecast dBZ applies it to radar: resolve the frame list, request a stamp, never trust "latest" in a cache. For fixed framings, deeper archives and MP4/GIF export, use the explorer.
